4. The running speed of the conveyor belt should not exceed 5.0 meters per second. When transporting materials with large block size and high wear, and using a fixed plow type unloading device, low speed should be used as much as possible. Exceeding the specified speed will affect the service life of the conveyor belt.

The relationship between the diameter of the transmission drum of the transport machine and the fabric layer of the conveyor belt, the matching of the transmission drum changing direction drum, and the requirements for the groove angle of the idler should be reasonably selected according to the design regulations of the conveyor.

6. To reduce the impact and wear of materials on the conveyor belt, the feeding direction should be in line with the running direction of the conveyor belt; The drop of materials falling onto the conveyor belt should be minimized as much as possible; The feeding port should avoid being directly above the drum or roller; The receiving section of the conveyor belt should shorten the distance between the rollers and take buffering measures. To prevent scratching the conveyor belt, the contact parts between the material blocking device, scraper cleaning device, and unloading device and the conveyor belt should be made of rubber sheets with suitable hardness, and tape heads with cloth layers should not be used.
